Join us as we celebrate National Children's Gardening Week with half term activities designed to encourage little gardeners to bloom!

And the best bit? It's all FREE!

National Children’s Gardening Week celebrates the fun that gardens hold for kids. So we're hosting a half term week of blooming fun activities for kids this half term that will really encourage little green fingers to get stuck in and grow!

FREE ACTIVITIES

We've partnered with Manchester Urban Diggers to create daily activities including:

  • Sunflower planting
  • Insect bingo
  • Wildflower planting

create, make
& take HOME

We're hosting a community arts project where kids will create flower handprints to form a stunning floral collage over the week.

Kids will also get to take home seeds and plant pots so they can continue gardening at home!

Pop-up vendors will also be on hand for fresh, healthy food and drink options.

Paint and Plant Workshop

Saturday 25th May - 11-12pm | 2-3pm

Children can let their imaginations bloom by decorating their own plant pot and planting a beautiful flower to take home - the perfect starter activity to encourage little green fingers to get stuck in!

Seed Balls Craft Class

Sunday 26th May - 11-12pm | 2-3pm

Join Trafford Palazzo for its Seed Balls Craft Class to learn how to make eco-friendly seed balls that will beautify any space with native wildflowers.

Bloom and Grow Planting Workshop

Monday 27th May - 11-1pm | 2-4pm

Little ones can get their hands dirty and become mini gardeners for the day with this fun and interactive session. Participants will have the opportunity to plant their own flower and learn about the different species of plants.

Garden to Glass Smoothie Making Workshop

Tuesday 28th May - 11-12pm | 2-3pm

Discover the delicious journey from garden to glass in Trafford Palazzo's smoothie making workshop, where visitors can blend their own fresh and tasty creations using straight-from-the-garden ingredients.

Insect Bingo

Wednesday 29th May - 11-12pm | 2-3pm

Bingo fun with a twist! Visitors can enjoy a family game of bingo, whilst exploring the fascinating world of wildlife.

Floral Crown Making

Thursday 30th May - 11-12pm | 2-3pm

Families will be able to create their own floral crown to take home for future garden parties - there's something for the art lovers as well as little budding gardeners.

Tiny Trowels Workshop

Friday 31st May - 11-1pm | 2-4pm

To end the garden themed extravaganza on a high, children and families are invited to design and plan their own dream garden with expert guidance from We are Mud.
