Help us celebrate the natural world this October Half Term

Trafford Palazzo, TraffordCity’s unique retail and leisure experience, has announced an immersive event celebrating the wonders of the natural world this October half term.

To inspire and entertain young minds during the school holidays, Trafford Palazzo will welcome a pop-up natural history museum and even an ‘animal kingdom’ to take over its vaulted ground floor event space, over four consecutive days.

Beginning on Monday 25th October and running until Thursday 28th October, the Natural World event will include a visit from wildlife expert Crocodile Joe, workshops with Manchester Museum, face painting and talks around the environment and sustainability.

From Monday 25th – Wednesday 27th, Manchester Museum will host a three-day programme of family-friendly activities between 12pm and 4pm, featuring interactive workshops and immersive fun. Visitors of all ages will be invited to learn more about sustainability and the animals in our forest through talks, completing activity packs and watching fun displays.

3 Crocodile Joe Stand alone

On Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th October, wildlife expert Crocodile Joe will captivate audiences with his Wild World Reptile Roadshow. Meet giant pythons, spiders, scorpions and many more creepy crawlies in shows running at 1pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm on both days.

‘Crocodile Joe’ is a conservationist who was given the name by aboriginals whilst working with Crocodiles in Australia. Joe's love, passion and expertise have since taken him all over the world. Hear about his wild adventures, learn all about his rescued reptiles, the environment & conservation, and why it is so important that we all 'act now'.

Trafford Palazzo's young adventurers will be invited to recreate their favourite rainforest animals, with face painting sessions from 1pm-4pm, Weds and Thurs. Wild arts and craft workshops will also entertain more hands-on visitors between 12pm and 3pm on both days.

Mark Whittaker, executive director of Peel L&P said: “We are so excited to be hosting a celebration of the Natural World over October half-term. Peel L&P is passionate about protecting the environment and want visitors of all ages to learn more about the relationships between animals, their surroundings and humanity’s impact on that fine natural balance.”

Trafford Palazzo's growing range of shopping and leisure brands will be open throughout the October half term, including Primark, LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre, SEA LIFE, Silentnight, Homesense, Natuzzi and Next Home.

Trafford Palazzo is situated in TraffordCity and linked via a bridge from The Trafford Centre.
